The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elena Houk can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Elena, I never thought I would miss your long telephone calls but I do. I am speaking to you now and hope you are listening. I love you and miss you with all my heart. I know you are finally at peace and don't have to deal with any more hardship and pain. You deserve to be at peace. You have a "heart of Gold and very feisty" as Laura stated. Now I look back at the photos and remember the good times we had together and there were many. I am grateful that we never stayed angry at one another for any length of time. One of us always broke down and called and patched up our differences. Love you, Maria
